Shawn comes to McInnes Group after a career in the NFL as a linebacker. He was a fourth-round draft pick by the Washington Redskins in 1998. Shawn played 10 years in the NFL, several of which were for the Kansas City Chiefs. Since retiring from the NFL as a player, he continued to stay involved in football, putting his skills to use as a coach and scout for a number of years.

He is currently the co-host of the very popular Chiefs podcast, Defending the Kingdom, with Mitch Holthus and hosts the official Chiefs pre- and post-game live stream shows, Chiefs Field-Pass and Chiefs Rewind, for the Chiefs Broadcast Network. He is also an official NFL game day Uniform Inspector at Arrowhead Stadium. Additionally, Shawn serves as the Vice-President of the Kansas City Chiefs Ambassadors, an organization made up of former Chiefs players that focuses on stewardship to the community and charity.

Shawn serves on the Board of Directors of Kids TLC in Olathe, Kansas. He is very involved in his church as well as many community programs and charitable organizations.

Shawn’s passion is being of service to others. He brings this dedication to his role at McInnes Group, where he is utilizing his growth mindset to develop new business.

Shawn is blessed with a wonderful family. He and his lovely wife along with their 6 children reside in Overland Park, Kansas.
