As the President of McInnes Maggart Consulting Group, LLC, Dennis has created a strong team of experienced consultants to provide customized analysis and benefit strategies for clients of all size and types. His unique background and expertise in employee benefit plan analysis allows him to advise clients on a wide range of medical benefit cost drivers. His focus on individual client’s specific situation and needs allows him to meet the goal of providing customized recommendations to meet each client’s goals for their employee benefit plan. Dennis is also recognized as one of the areas leading authority’s on healthcare reform and has developed several proprietary compliance programs for MMCG clients that keep them compliant with the evolving regulations at the lowest possible net cost. He has spoken at numerous forums on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and has written several articles for trade publications on the market impact of the new regulations.
Dennis has a broad range of experiences that he brings to his current position. He has served as Director of Information Services for a large regional Third Party Administrator and has worked for one of the Midwest’s largest Blue Cross/Blue Shield affiliates as a Senior Account Manager working with large employers. Most recently he spent 7 years as the Executive Vice-President and General Manager of a large regional Third Party Administrator specializing in self-funded group health plans. During this time he worked with several large Health & Welfare Funds, trade association plans and non-profit groups. Under his direction the TPA grew to be one of the largest independent benefit plan administrators as well as the largest Section 125 Flexible Spending Plan administrator in the Midwest. They also developed several insurance products traditionally only provided by specialty insurance carriers.
After joining The McInnes Group in 1996 as a Senior Benefit Consultant Dennis has continued his work with large employers and associations on a wide range of employee benefit plans. His expertise with alternative funding arrangements has allowed him to show clients customized financial arrangements that offer significant cost savings while maintaining the highest level of employee satisfaction. He has continued his work with union sponsored plans offering fair, unbiased service to both management and unions on cost effective ways to meet the goals of both employers and employees. In servicing a wide range of clients from trade associations, traditional employee groups, and health and welfare funds for both for-profit and non-profit organizations in many states Dennis has created innovative solutions for a wide range of clients. Using all forms of financial arrangements he has been able to stay at the cutting edge of employee benefit plan funding and design.
