1973
Our Story Begins…
Founder J. Duncan McInnes IV begins his career as a property & casualty and life insurance agent.
1974
Our Foundations Are Built…
J. Duncan McInnes joins Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company, where he becomes a career agent, the youngest Chartered Life Underwriter® (CLU) in the State of Missouri at the time and soon rises to the role of agency manager.
1980
We Begin to Grow…
McInnes, Schifman, & Remley, Inc. is founded and becomes a ‘cluster agency’ under the Haas & Wilkerson Group.
1991

J. Duncan McInnes IV establishes MSR Benefit Services, Inc., known today as McInnes Group, Inc., founded upon the philosophy of “We don’t want to be the biggest, but we want to be the best.”
2003
The Legacy Continues…
Matt McInnes joins MSR Benefit Services, Inc., with the goal of carrying on his father Duncan’s legacy.
