Rick brings a unique and dynamic background to his role as Executive Sales Consultant at McInnes Group.  Rick spent four years at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City in a variety of roles throughout the organization, predominantly in Provider Contracting and Engagement, working with every size and type of provider in the Kansas City area.  Rick was also responsible for provider contracting and engagement for Blue KC’s Medicare Advantage plan.

Prior to Blue KC, Rick spent ten years in operational and managerial consulting, helping companies understand and solve complex revenue and cost challenges, as well as improving their operational efficiencies.  Rick also spent four years with Koch Industries serving as a project manager at their St. Paul, Minnesota refinery.

Rick was born and raised in Hutchinson, Kansas.  He graduated from the University of Kansas with degrees in Business Administration and Mechanical Engineering and was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.  Rick recently served on the Phi Gamma Delta House Corporation for ten years, including six years as House Corporation President.  Rick has an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.  He was formerly elected to the Westwood Hills (Kansas) City Council and is a proud Eagle Scout.  He resides in Mission Hills, Kansas with his wife, Gayle, and their two children. Rick is an avid fan of the Jayhawks, Royals and Chiefs; and enjoys playing golf whenever possible.
